Good day! After much analysis on the soon-to-be performance, the music
began to flow, images started to cut into themselves, and people came
together. The accompaniment of others has been extremely pleasant,
consisting of late-night dinners, tea, an enlightened feeling of the heart, scissors, thoughts, plans for the future, instruments here and there, masks, one gigantic dog, an early morning trip to the river front and Belle Isle where a completely different reality exists that should be explored more often, and just the presence of not being alone in this crazy world!
Needless to say, this is still quite an adventure.
With one week left, I realize most stories continue on, as this performance will show. There is never an end, which brings a relief to all of existence (or at least to myself alone) because the flow moves on.
The cuttings of these objects kind of has been at a slower pace than I imagined it to be. Time is precious, and so is sleep, and so is balance. And throughout this process I should be practicing the juggling skills that I learned years back. But as I balance and juggle everything that lays ahead, this performance piece has been extremely rewarding when we come together to practice or prepare with how to maneuver images, cameras, life. This is definitely not a solo project anymore, nor was it ever meant to be. I forever hold my piece to my new, old, and in-between friends. And with that, we shall see you next week!
